Bill
Drummond & Jimmy Cauty have engaged in several musical and artistic
collaborations since the 1980's. Together their musical entities
include:
The JAMS [Justified Ancients of Mu Mu]
The KLF
Space
The Timelords
The K Foundation
The One World Orchestra
And for 23 minutes in 1997 2K
Further
collaborative and solo projects have together made for a
significant library of tracks, mixes and remixes which are as popular on
the dancefloor and in the chill out rooms today as they were in the
late 80's and 90's.
Much of the myth and mysticism they have cloaked themselves in comes from the pages of the cult, anarchic sci-fi novel "The
Illuminatus
Trilogy" by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea. They regularly taunted
"establishment" with a barrage of masterful media manipulation, culture
jamming and art-terrorism
but do not be fooled by the media who dismissed them as arch-pranksters
and their actions as mere stunts. . . They were f**king serious!
